MY LIFE AT GLOBE RUNNER:
As one of the newest members of the Globe Runner family, I’m impressed with the level of talent that has been collected to deliver creative, digital marketing results for our clients. Literally everyone throughout the organization is quick to jump in to help and lend a hand, all with a customer-first focus.
With over 30 years of experience in marketing and sales, one thing has remained constant over the years—the tremendous joy I get when I’ve helped a company reach, and exceed, their business goals. My experience encompasses several industries, including advertising, technology, media, and insurance and financial services. My out-of-the-box thinking has successfully served the clients and organizations I’ve worked with, having earned several awards and consistent accolades for creatively driving results and delivering qualified leads.
I love to write. Few things give me more satisfaction than looking at a blank screen and knowing that I’ll soon have it filled with something that was generated through my sheer, sometimes warped, imagination. In 2008, my farcical novel, Citizen Dick, was well received by reviewers in many prominent publications, including The Chicago Tribune and Los Angeles Times. From the back cover: Creative accounting. Mismanagement. Vanishing 401Ks. Insider trading. Misplaced power. Neuroses. Bloody clown suits. Meatloaf costumes. Self-administered prison tattoos. You guessed it—Corporate America. Who wouldn’t want to read that?? Well, apparently a lot of people. It enjoyed—err, ah, I mean suffered from—marginal sales.
I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Anne for 27 years and am the ridiculously proud father of two sons, Peyton (in grad school) and Brooks (freshman in college). I’m equally proud to call my entire family devoted fans of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars. I only ask that you don’t mention Game 6 of the 2011 World Series in my presence. I’m still not over it. Oh, and my office is in a treehouse, but I’ll save that for later.
