HEAD TO HEAD: FEATURING DYLAN EAKIN & RITA HENDRICKS

On Thursday, April 26, 2018 we are hosting a gallery showing and cocktail party featuring two unique artists: Dylan Eakin and Rita Hendricks.

Join us for a night of drinks, appetizers, music, original paintings, and a raffle to win a personal portrait for your pet. Click to RSVP here.

Eakin will be showing his extremely detailed human portraits done in pencil and Hendricks will be showing her pet portraits made with watercolors. Hendricks will be raffling off a personal pet portrait: she will paint a portrait of the winner’s beloved pet. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Operation Kindness. If you don’t have a pet of your own, you can win the raffle for a family member, friend, or coworker. Raffle tickets are being sold through PayPal right now. The best value is three tickets for $20. We also have two tickets for $15 and one ticket for $10. There is a limit of 60 tickets per person. We will record the raffle drawing and announce the winner on our Instagram.

Meet the Artists

Rita Hendricks

Rita Hendricks is an artist of diverse subjects and mediums. Her love of gardening is evident in her still life and landscapes work. Her love and understanding of dogs resonate in her sometimes whimsical, always sensitive portraits of pets.

“My art is a reminder to put life first. They are captured moments of love, beauty and stillness to support the art of being. Always buy art you love.”

Dylan Eakin

Dylan Eakin always expected to be a sculptor, so he never paid attention in the drawing classes. Thanks to a few missteps, Dylan found himself without a medium, and (a couple of dark years later) started teaching himself how to draw. The casual drawing hobby quickly became an intensive exploration of medium and technique, and Dylan set hyperrealism as his goal. He continues the quest in Seattle, WA.
